Sorry for the week worth of silence around here. I am just having computer issues and have to use my brother's netbook - which doesn't allow me to browse through the tones of photographs I want to share with you, or use my Photoshop and even work properly. I don't know why, but I have hard time using other people's computers. I am so used to the feel of mine and to how everything is organized that this just feels like a supplice. I will try to juggle between the two computers and see if I can produce better quality posts in the future.
Right now it is raining and I am really enjoying this change in weather. I know that tomorrow we will get another wave of heat but for the meantime this is nice. All I know is that I will sleep like a baby :)
On another note, I finally tried myself at Urban Sketching a couple of weeks ago. It's the view you get from my brother's bedroom's window. We live in a building of a small community of buildings known as Kotto Immeuble, in Douala. We moved in back in 2000 and it's funny to see that the place has barely changed if at all. People tend to set their clothes out to dry outside, as you can see on the right corner of the drawing. The windows are covered with moskitoes nests (not all though) and some have the metallic grids to prevent robbers to break in. Sounds scary but you never know haha Evil is everywhere! I think I will do a series of the neighborhood, so that you can get an idea of how the community looks like overall.
Besides that, I am currently busy filling out more graduate schools applications. Right now my focus goes to European schools. It seems like I will never see the end of it! And the clock is ticking. All I know is that september should not find me in Cameroon. But where will I be by fall? Only God knows. But wherever it will be, I am looking forward to the new adventures ;)
